About us- Treatment for sexual problems.

Don`t Offend India” is an initiative to provide treatment to people with a sexual attraction towards children and/or early-adolescents.

Using evidence based techniques, individuals with a sexual attraction towards children and/or early adolescents receive treatment to improve their quality of life while also enrooting active behaviour control. The program aims to reduce cases of child sexual abuse as well as viewing of sexualized images of children (known as “child pornography”). Our work is inspired by the German project ”Kein Täter werden” (German for “Don`t Offend”). There, people with a sexual attraction towards children and/or early adolescents are successfully receiving treatment since 2005 (learn more on Don’t Offend).

The Program for Primary Prevention of Sexual Violence (PPPSV) is a collaborative initiative of various institutions and professionals. Funded and initiated by Bayer India, PPPSV aims to prevent sexual violence against children and women in India. It has two arms: One, "Don`t Offend India", which works for the prevention of child sexual abuse, and two, “‘NO’ App”, which fights sexual violence against women. Using research-based strategies, years of experience, and a strong understanding of varying cultural contexts, Indian and German experts have combined their efforts to prevent women and children from experiencing sexual violence and its aftereffects.

The unique goal of PPPSV is to develop and implement strategies for primary prevention of sexual violence in India by focusing on treatment for people at risk of offending instead of potential victims.

Troubled Desire is a self-help tool for people who feel sexually attracted towards children and/or early adolescents. It is anonymous and free of cost.

Currently available in India in English, Hindi and Marathi, the website seeks to alleviate the distress experienced by people with a sexual attraction towards children and/or early adolescents. It does so by providing a sexual preference assessment and self-management modules for their preferences. It also functions as a resource centre for information on pedophilia for help-seekers, caregivers, mental health professionals, and other non governmental organizations. TROUBLED DESIRE was developed by our partners from “Kein Täter werden” (Don`t Offend) in Germany.
